Total Contact Research Projects

Total Contact is currently partnered with the hospitals in research projects using 3D scanning systems.

Oregon Burn Center is collecting 3D scanning data from patients at different intervals. Color data, neck extension, and mobility information is all being extracted from this data.

Cincinnati Shriners is scanning patients before pulse dye laser treatments.

Total Contact Portable Scanner System

Total Contact introduces the Total Contact Portable Scanning System.

The Total Contact Portable Scanning System has multiple uses. It can be used to measure and document scar changes in size and color. It can also be used to scan a patient to make custom burn masks and neck splints.

A therapist can scan a patient each visit to compare scar changes over a treatment period. This 3D scan data can then become part of the patients medical record.

The portable scanning system stores easily in a closet. The scanner can be taken to the patients room, as a result, inpatients are able to start pressure therapy treatment much sooner.
