The Office of Disabilities at Wright State University and the Dayton Art Institute were awarded a grant to create a virtual art museum for the disabled who are unable to physically attend the museum.
Total Contact scanned a number of antiquities, and using beta software, created the first three-dimensional virtual art museum.
We scanned the art objects multiple times, requiring sophisticated image editing, aligning, and merging to create color vrml files that can be downloaded, viewed, rotated, and translated by the viewer.
