Three-dimensional anthropometry is the science of measuring and quantifying the human body in a three-dimensional space.
There are two critical elements to 3D Anthropometry: accurate data acquisition and appropriate data analysis. Digital human modeling begins with an accurate surface scan of the subject, and image processing is key to useful application of scan data. Statistical analysis tools, such as multivariate modeling, effectively transition this data for the application.
